"SO bummed. Got my regular size of 6.5 in Banana and couldn’t even remotely get this boot on. Runs very small in the ankle area. I have the Campus boot from 1997 and the leather is very thick. The leather on the Mustang is thin and feels cheap compared to my Campus from 29 years ago. I also have the Harness boot and Carmen in 6.5 and they fit perfectly. Unwearable because I cannot even get them on my foot. Definitely needs a zipper so people’s feet can get past the curve of the ankle portion of the boot. It is too tall to be a pull-on unless you have extremely thin legs and delicate ankles. I attached pictures and my thumb is marking my heel position and the tip of my toe inside the boot. That’s as far as I could get it on. The style is amazing and I love the sleek design and tapered square toe shape keeping a western look without the western stitching. I think Frye should have thought about the functional details and wearability before releasing this style. This COULD have been a hit."
